Response:

• A 2014 study suggested that about 46% of comic readers were women, based on a sample of 24 million fans (thank you Facebook.)
• A 2015 study of roughly the same market set put the number at 43% of readers being women.
• As of this past June, 2016, DC was employing 17.5% female creators, Marvel was at 15.6%.
• Women account for 40% attendance at larger cons like SDCC and NYCC.
